Receiving stationary alerts when your vehicle has been stationary for a long time

With AutoAlert, you can easily set up alerts to tell you by text when one of your vehicles has been stationary for a long period.

 

 

Setting up stationary alerts

To set up a trigger to tell you when one of your vehicles has been stationary for long:

  • Go the reports section
  • Click Triggers from the bottom left of the screen
  • From there you will be able to see all the triggers which you have set up

  • To add another, click Add trigger
  • Add a description for your trigger
  • Choose SMS if you want to receive a text message alert or Web if you want to trigger a web hook

  • Choose which vehicle you want to get alerts for
  • Select the option Stationary time is greater than
  • If you don’t want the alert to be sent immediately, then you can enter a delay in minutes after which point the alert be sent
  • If you choose SMS, add the telephone number where you want the text to be sent in the telephone number field.
  • If you want the SMS to be sent after a period of time to when the trigger was activated, then enter the delay in minutes to the delay field.
  • Add any additional information you would like included in the text message

 

Setting up stationary alerts if one of your vehicles has been stationary for a long period of time

 

The next time your vehicle has been stationary for longer than the time you set, you will receive a text message alert or the web hook will be triggered.
