Sending locations from your AutoAlert iPhone application

Once you have set up your account you will be taken to the main screen (shown below). Alternatively, clicking on the AutoAlert icon from your home page will load the application and take you to the main screen (provided the Unique Key is stored in the settings screen).

Note: If the unique key has not been saved then the registration screen will appear when the application is loaded.

Once this screen is active you can click start at the bottom left of the screen, the button will change to Stop and the location will be transmitted as shown above. If the iPhone has a GPS location stored in memory and has GPRS access it will transmit this location to the AutoAlert server.

Note: The initial location may be innacurate whilst the iPhone tries to work out its location from any visible satellites. This should improve as more satellites come into view.

The iPhone will try and send the location dependant on your settings. i.e., periodically or as a set distance has elapsed. To alter these settings click settings to load the screen below.

Further help, support and trouble shooting advice is available from within the myAutoAlert section of the website.
