Nigel Dean of Kit Car Magazine - "AutoAlert worth its weight in gold"

Prestigious recognition for innovative new products.

Following is an article first published in Kit Car magazine in January 2005.

"More and more builders are spending in excess of £20,000 on their projects and such an investment needs serious protection.

Alarms, ok we all love to hate the things but AutoAlert's in the process of launching a product directly targeted at the component car builder

The kit comes with a main processor unit, wiring loom, ignition cut off relay and instructions on how to complete an installation. Once installed, the unit is armed by sensing the ignition has been turned off. From this point, any tamper to the vehicle will immediately send a text message to your mobile telephone. This in turn can display a map to show the exact location of your car.

In addition to a physical tamper, the alarm will also detect if the vehicle has been moved more than 100 feet from a parked position. This counters those nasty criminals who just tow your pride and joy away

This technology has additional benefits including a message that warns you if your battery is going flat. This alone in my mind is worth its weight in gold. How many times have you run to your car when the sun has come out, only to be disappointed by a click from the starter motor?

The cost will be around the £500 mark but this has yet to be finalised. The system is due for launched about now so visit the website at www.autoalert.me.uk or give the guys a call on 0207 394 7457"
